I am currently working on a series of posts wherein I will be demonstrating the heretical nature of the Charismatic movement. If one studies the polemic work of Christian theologians, from Irenaeus to Luther to Warfield to MacArthur, one will notice that there are 6 usual characteristics of heresy. They are the following (in no particular order):
1. Novelty,
2. Mystical experiences as a source of post-biblical revelation,
3. Mystical interpretations of Scripture,
4. Disregard for and/or belittling of Scripture,
5. Unverifiable claims, and
6. Intimidation of those with opposing views.
Heresy is a trial for the Church, as Paul says in 1 Corinthians 11:19, "For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you."

I hope to have the whole of my presentation edited down for 4 or 5 posts to keep it short and readable. Hopefully, I will have the first post ready before the end of the day.
Praise God for His ineffable grace.
